I remember the midwife saying that in her almost 40 years experience, she had never met a newborn with a louder scream, or who wanted to nurse as much. I just felt like she wanted to get back in the womb where all her needs were constantly met. She probably still does!
The more amazing thing is that we went through it and then both of us did it again- what does that tell you?

Excellent post, Alysia (you write so well!) I appreciate the nod to OT but more appreciate that she worked with your son to progress him with good technique. I’m a big believer in ‘heavy work’ as a powerful means to sensory management.

My son has PDD too and is about the same age and although different, there are several similarities. It almost felt like you had been in my home.
Thanks for sharing. I find it so helpful to relate to people who are experiencing the same as me.
