I don’t usually post so frequently, but I came across this website and just had to link to it here. This mother sums it all up pretty well in her “OPEN LETTER
TO ANYONE WHO HAS EXPERIENCED MY SON’S MELTDOWNS”.
Just wish I had thought of it myself.

I just read this and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!! So, so true and it expressed a bit of my bitterness. Thanks for sharing!

I felt the same way. Like I wanted to print it out and hand it out at the playground, store, etc. She did a terrific job writing all that we parents feel.

Thanks so much for your site! My daughter has some autistic tendancies but the “experts” say she is too socialable to qualify as autistic. She’s really only sociable with adults, but anyway. She does have SPD as a Sensory Seeker and is expressive/receptive language delayed, among other things.
I look forward to reading your blog!

We’ve SO been there. Definitely keep reading our stuff, and the other bloggers in the SPD network have stories just like yours. We all know what you’re going through. Hang in there!
